Stations 1, 5, 9, 19, and 27 responded to a 1-1/2 story residential dwelling fire at 171 Sawmill Road at 1640 17-March. Engine 19 arrived 7 minutes later to find the second story had already collapsed into the first floor. There were heavy fire conditions present. Firefighters used two 1-3/4 handlines to knock down the fire before they could enter the structure. They had the fire contained within 20 minutes. Overhaul took several hours due to the large amount of debris. It appears the fire started near the C/D corner of the building. The home was vacant at the time of the blaze. Water supply was conducted with truck to truck supply from tenders. No injuries were reported. The structure suffered heavy damage.

Engine 9, Engine 19, Tender 1, Tender 5, Tender 9, Tender 19, Tender 27, Ladder 19, Medic 19 and Battalion 1 responded. Captain Scott Feather served as Incident Commander.
