Colleton County Fire-Rescue

11/09/2009

Stations 5, 19, 24, and 26 responded to a structure fire at 118 Shotgun Trail at 1250 Monday 9-November. Engine 19 arrived seven minutes later to find a singlewide mobile home that was fully involved with partial collapse.  According to the owner, the building was being demolished.  Firefighters used two 1.75" handlines to extinguish the fire.  The service power line to the residence was down in the back yard and prevented firefighters from attacking that side of the structure until it was secured by the power company. A tender nursing operation was set up for water supply.  There were no injuries and the fire cause is undetermined.

Engine 19, Engine 5, Tender 5, Tender 19, Tender 26, Tender 27, Medic 19, Truck 16, Truck 110, and Battalion 1 responded.  Lieutenant Joseph Campbell served as Incident Commander.
