04-20-2011 – “B” Shift – MVC

Incident # 11-02217 – A three car MVC resulted in five people being transported to Colleton Medical Center. The accident occurred in the 1100 block of North Jefferies Blvd Wednesday afternoon at 15:04. Two vehicles were struck in the rear by a full sized pickup truck, sending one vehicle to the right shoulder and the second across Jefferies Blvd to the edge of the parking lot. One vehicle remained in the roadway. The accident and the debris from the collision blocked all four lanes of the busy street for about 40 minutes. City Police rerouted traffic to side streets. Two vehicles received heavy damage in the crash. None of the injured received life threatening injuries.

Medic 1, Medic 19, Battalion 1, Car 111 and Walterboro Public Safety responded. Asst. Chief David Greene served as Incident Commander.
