05/29/2012 – Structure Fire – “B” Shift

Incident # 12-02875 – An afternoon structure fire gutted a vacant singlewide mobile home located at 197 Booth Street Tuesday 29-May at 14:07. Car 118 arrived to find heavy fire and smoke conditions. Engine 19 deployed two 1-3/4 handlines, quickly knocking down the fire. Firefighters worked for 40 minutes performing overhaul and were on the scene for 2-1/2 hours. Water supply was conducted with Tenders. The home had been vacant for three years. The neighbor advised he had recently seen people in the building, possibly having a party. The cause the of the fire in under investigation. There was no power connected to the residence.

Engine 5, Engine 19, Tender 5, Tender 19, Tender 26, Tender 27, Medic 19, Car 105 and Car 118 responded. Captain Scott Feather served as Incident Commander.
