24-Sept-2012 – Stabbing Incident – “C” Shift

Incident # 12-05244 – A 65 year old man received a stab wound to the neck during what is believed to be a domestic altercation Monday afternoon, 24-September. At 17:33 a woman found the man in her yard at in the 200 block of Savage Street. She notified 9-1-1 and assisted the man with a towel to retard the bleeding. Walterboro Public Safety Officers arrived minutes later, securing the scene for Firefighter-Paramedics. The man was conscious, suffering from a small laceration to the side of his neck. If was bandaged, then he was immobilized and transported to Colleton Medical Center for further treatment. His injury did not appear to be life threatening. Walterboro Law Enforcement continue to investigate the incident.

Medic 19, Battalion 1, Car 12 and Car 107 responded. Chief McRoy served as Incident Commander.
