28/July/2013 – Shooting Incident – “C” Shift

Incident # 13-04087 – Firefighter-Paramedics responded to the 100 block of Risher Mountain Road Sunday morning 28-July, for a person shot. Units arrived to find multiple Law Enforcement officers from Colleton and Dorchester Counties at the scene. Crews were directed to a wooded area were they found an adult male who was deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. The man was apparently shot Saturday afternoon in Dorchester County and brought to Colleton County. Both Colleton and Dorchester County Sheriff’s Offices and Coroner’s Offices responded. Dorchester County is the lead agency in the investigation, since the incident originated in their county. Fire-Rescue units responded back to the scene later Sunday to stand by while Dorchester divers searched a nearby pond.

Engine 26, Medic 26, Battalion 1 and Car 12 responded. Chief Deputy Hill was the Incident Commander.
