29/September/2013 – Structure Fire – “A” Shift

Incident # 13-05315 – Fire-Rescue was notified of a structure fire at 194 Siegler Drive at 23:00 Sunday evening 29-September. Engine 19 arrived four minutes later to advise the doublewide mobile was fully involved. Firefighters deployed two 1-3/4 handlines to combat the fire. A neighbor reported the fire, which is located on a dead end dirt road. The home had been burning for quite some time before it was discovered. The entire roof, porch, front wall and most of the floor in the first unit was completely destroyed when firefighters arrived. The fire was under control within 20 minutes, but firefighters worked to overhaul the remains of the building for three hours. Water supply was provided with a Tender Shuttle from a pressurized hydrant at nearby Station # 19. The homeowners had left the building earlier in the day. The fire appeared to be unintentional and started in the front of the structure.

Engine 19, Engine 24, Tender 1, Tender 19, Medic 19, Battalion 1 and Car 12 responded. Firefighter-Paramedic (Acting Battalion Chief) Brian Rowe served as Incident Commander.
