12/October/2013 – Shooting Incident – “B” Shift

Incident # 13-05578 – A 30 year old man received multiple gunshot wounds during an incident at the Sunset Motel, located at 1577 Bells Highway. The shooting occurred Saturday evening 12-October at 20:29. Law Enforcement Officers found the man walking in the parking lot, bleeding profusely. He received wounds to the neck, head, chest and arm. Firefighter-Paramedics quickly treated the man at the scene. No medical helicopters were immediately available, so Medic 26 rapidly transported him directly to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. Walterboro Public Safety is investigating the incident.

Engine 26, Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 12 and Car 111 responded. Battalion Chief Ben Heape served as Incident Commander.
