27/October/2013 – MVC with Air Evac – “B” shift

Incident # 13-05861 – A 19 year old Williams woman received multiple traumatic injuries in a single car crash on Beulah Road north of Lodge Hwy. Sunday evening 27-October. The accident was reported at 19:38 when a passing motorist found the young lady near the wrecked pickup truck. The southbound Ford Explorer Sport Trac appears to have left the roadway, over corrected and lost control before striking several trees and overturning. The small truck suffered heavy damage and came to rest on its wheels. The driver did not remember the accident and may have lost consciousness prior to Fire-Rescue’s arrival. A medical helicopter was requested while she was treated at the scene. Medic 18 transported the patient to a field approximately 2 miles from the accident site to meet with LifeNet 4. The patient was transferred without incident, then flown to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

Engine 7, Medic 18, Battalion 1 and Car 12 responded. Captain John Graham served as Incident Commander.
