10/December/2013 – Shooting Incidents – “A” Shift

Incident #s 13-06699 and 13-06704 – Two possibly related, but separate shooting incidents injured several people Tuesday afternoon 10-December. The first incident was reported at 13:37 in the 300 block of Green Pond Hwy after a reported white vehicle shot at several people in the front yard of the residence. No one was at the residence when emergency units arrived, however a victim showed at the ED later in the day. The second incident occurred at Ashepoo Grocery on ACE Basin Parkway at 15:17. Law Enforcement reported members of two rival gangs had a gun battle in the parking lot of the store, with several rounds hitting the building. At least two people were injured. Deputies responding to the incident, stopped a white vehicle traveling north on Green Pond Highway (traveling away from the incident location). A window in the car was shot out and 19 year old male inside car had two gunshot wounds to the arm and shoulder. Firefighter-Paramedics treated the man at the scene, then transported him to Colleton Medical Center. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.

Engine 6, Medic 6, Car 12 and Car 105 responded. Firefighter-EMT Steven Sanders served as Incident Commander.
