21/December/2013 – Structure Fire – “B” Shift

Incident # 13-06887 – At 10:12 Friday morning 20-December, Fire-Rescue was notified of a mobile home on fire at 111 Monarch Lane in the Jacksboro Community. Engine 2 arrived to find the singlewide mobile home fully involved. Firefighters deployed one 2-1/2” handline to knock down most of the fire, then one 1-3/4” handline to finish extinguishing the burning remains of the trailer. Most of the structure had already burned away before the fire was found. No one was living in the home at the time of the fire. The appears to have been an unattended debris fire nearby in the yard. The fire in the debris pile spread to the yard, then to the mobile home. The structure was completely destroyed. Fire units were on the scene for two hours.  

Engine 2, Engine 6, Tender 2, Tender 6, Tender 12, Tender 27, Medic 6, Battalion 1 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Ben Heape served as Incident Commander.
