06/March/2015 – Structure Fire – “B” Shift

Incident # 15-01229 – Firefighters saved a home at 347 Gobbler Circle Friday afternoon 06-March. At 13:50, Fire Rescue was sent to the residence after receiving calls of smoke and flames coming from the roof of the home. Engine 6 arrived to find fire visible from the side of the structure. Firefighter-Paramedics made entry with one 1-3/4 handline and contained the fire in the kitchen. The remainder of the home suffered heat and smoke damage, but most personal items were salvageable. No one was at home when the fire was discovered. It appeared the fire was electrical in nature and started in the ceiling above the kitchen. Units were on the scene for two hours.  

Engine 2, Engine 6, Tender 1, Tender 2, Tender 6, Tender 22, Medic 6, Battalion 1, Car 12 and Car 107 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
