08/May/2015 – Structure Fire – “B” Shift

Incident # 15-02471 – An afternoon fire destroyed a singlewide mobile home and damaged a nearby storage building at 51 Ward Street Friday 08-May at 12:23. Engine 19 arrived to find the residence approximately 85% involved. Most of the building had already collapsed prior to Fire-Rescue’s arrival. Engine 19 used a deck gun to extinguish most of the fire and mopped up with one 1-3/4 handline. A nearby yard debris fire was extinguished with the booster line. A passerby advised he discovered the building well involved and called 9-1-1. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Engine 17, Engine 19, Tender 9, Tender 19, Tender 26, Battalion 1 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott Feather served as Incident Commander.
