13/May/2016 – Structure Fire – “A” Shift

Incident # 16-02929 – An 800 square foot barn was destroyed when an unattended debris fire was blown into a field in the 1100 block of Green Pond Hwy. Friday afternoon 13-May. At 14:40, multiple reports were made to 9-1-1 advising of the field and building fire. Engine 1 arrived minutes later to find the barn fully involved. The structure collapsed shorted after firefighters arrived. Crews deployed multiple handlines to extinguish the blaze. Water supply was handled with Tenders. Firefighters were on the scene for 1-1/2 hours.

Engine 1, Engine 27, Tender 1, Tender 6, Tender 19, Tender 27, Medic 1, Medic 19, Battalion 1, Car 05 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O’Quinn served as Incident Commander.
