04/August/2016 – HazMat Incident – “C” Shift

An adult man was decontaminated prior to transport to the hospital following an incident at his residence located at 21557 Augusta Hwy, Thursday afternoon 04-August.  The resident was using pesticide bombs to fumigate the residence and inadvertently discharged one of the foggers into his face.  He was complaining of mild respiratory distress and weakness.  Medic 19 and Engine 9 were on the initial response, but requested Battalion 1 and HazMat 19 to respond while they were enroute.  The patient was decontaminated and transported by Medic 19 to Colleton Medical Center.

Engine 9, Engine 5, Medic 19, HazMat 19, Battalion 1, Car 105, and Car 118 responded.  Captain Bryan Eadon served as the Incident Commander.
