05/November/2017 – Dive Training

All eight Firefighters participating in the PADI Open Water SCUBA diver course successfully completed their certification dives this past weekend. The Open Water Course is the first of many classes the personnel will take to become Rescue Divers. The group finished their classroom training and pool dives during October and traveled to Devils Den Springs in Williston Florida to perform their certification dives. Instructors for the course were Craig Collier and Spencer Pumphrie who were involved in the three days of testing. Those participating were FF/P Captain Brian Eadon, FF/P Brian Bishop, FF/P Alex Koontz, FF/P Joslyn Merideth, FF/P Kristen Dias, FF/EMT Cody Hutto, FF/EMT Connor Hutto and Victoria Dalton who is on the Dive Team. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton who oversees the Fire-rescue Dive Operations, traveled with the group to Florida.
