27/July/2018 – Motorhome Fire – “B” Shift

Incident # 18-05185 – A motorhome was destroyed in an afternoon fire in the 700 block of Welch Creek Road Friday 27-June. Callers to 9-1-1 reported the well involved fire at 20:25 and advised a nearby residence was endangered. Engine 19 arrived minutes later advising of a fully involved motorhome, but noted the one story home was 50 feet away. Crews deployed one 1-3/4 handline to extinguish the fire. Firefighters kept the flames from reaching the residence and several construction trailers, none of which were damaged. There was power to the motorhome. The cause is under investigation.

Engine 19, Tender 1, Tender 26 and Battalion 1 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
