17/March/2019 – MVC with Entrapment – “A” Shift

Incident # 19-01787 – Four people were injured and one person was trapped after a two car collision in the 700 block of Bells Hwy at Forest Circle Sunday afternoon 17-March at 15:08. The first Fire-Rescue ambulance to arrive found the four injured people and discovered one person who had been trapped after the car was struck in the driver’s door. They requested one additional Fire-Rescue Ambulance and a rescue unit to responded. Crews used Holmatro Rescue Tools to remove the driver’s door. Two patients were transported by ambulance to the Trauma Center at Trident Hospital and the other two patients were transported to Colleton Medical Center. Walterboro Police and Fire units assisted at the scene.  

Engine 26, Medic 1, Medic 26, Rescue 1, Battalion 1, Car 112 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O’Quinn served as Incident Commander.
