28/October/2019 – Shooting Incident – “A” Shift 

Incident # 19-07583 – A 48 year old female was critically injured in a shooting incident at 64 Steeplechase Dr. at 22:07 Monday evening 28-October. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. The woman was inside her mobile home when a bullet pierced the residence and struck her. The bullet struck her in the torso. She suffered life threatening injuries. She was quickly treated at the scene by Firefighter-Paramedics who placed a medical helicopter on standby. She was transported emergent in Fire-Rescue Medic 19 to the helipad at Colleton Medical Center. The patient’s condition deteriorated enroute the helipad. She was transferred to the CARE Flight crew and flown to the Trauma Center at Trident Hospital in North Charleston.

Engine 19, Medic 19, Battalion 1 and Car 112 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O’Quinn served as Incident Commander.
