23/November/2019 – Shooting Incident – “C” Shift

Incident # 19-08145 – A 31 year old male died from an apparent gunshot wound to the back at a residence located in the 15200 block of Round O Road Saturday afternoon 23-November. At 12:12, Fire-Rescue and Sheriff’s Deputies were sent to the location after 9-1-1 received a report that a man had been shot. Firefighter-Paramedics found the man, who was not breathing, lying inside the single wide mobile home. Resuscitative measures were begun and the patient was quickly moved to a waiting stretcher. He was transported emergent in Fire-Rescue Medic 19 with additional personnel onboard to assist with patient care. The man was transported to Colleton Medical Center, where the ED Staff continued resuscitative efforts, but he did not survive his injuries. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.

Engine 19, Medic 19, Battalion 1, Car 112 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
