02/February/2020 – ATV MVC with Air Evac – “B” Shift

Incident # 20-00738 – A 30 yr. old man received suspected serious injuries when the ATV he was riding flipped over and landed on him Sunday evening 02-February at 18:06. Firefighter-Paramedics found the man lying face down on a dirt road. They treated his injuries and immobilized him prior to transporting him to a nearby field to meet with the CARE Flight medical helicopter. He was transferred to the Flight Crew without incident, then flown to the Trauma Center at Trident Hospital in North Charleston. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.

Engine 5, Medic 19, Battalion 1 and Car 112 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
