18/April/2020 – Shooting Incident – “C” Shift

Incident # 20-02624 – A 32 yr. old male received an accidental gunshot wound Saturday afternoon 18-April at 18:45. The incident occurred at the Green Acres Campground at 396 Campground Road. The man was moving a pistol when it accidentally discharged and shot him in the leg. The bullet passed through one leg and into the other. He applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. Firefighter-Paramedics found the man in stable condition and treated him on scene before transporting him to the Trauma Center at Trident Hospital in Fire-Rescue Medic 27. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.

Engine 1, Medic 26, Medic 27, Battalion 1, Car 112 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Chris Jones served as Incident Commander.
