02/June/2020 – Fall with Air Evac – “C” Shift

Incident # 20-03604 – An adult male received a head injury after falling approximately 12 feet off of the roof of an RV at a campsite on Jefferies Hwy near Canadys Crossroads Tuesday 02-June at 16:35. Witnesses advised the man was unconscious after falling. Firefighter-Paramedics found the man with suspected severe injuries and requested a medical helicopter. Crews immobilized the man and transported him to a nearby field in Fire-Rescue Medic 19 to meet with the CARE Flight helicopter. He was transferred to the Flight Crew without difficulty and flown to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.

Engine 19. Medic 19, Battalion 1, Car 110 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Chris Jones served as Incident Commander.
