27/August/2020 – Shooting Incident – “B” Shift

Incident # 20-05895 – A 49 yr. old female was lucky and received only minor injuries in a shooting incident that occurred in the area of Peuriofy Rd and Gadsden Loop Thursday evening 27-August at 23:55. The woman reported to officers that a car shot at her vehicle striking it several times. Two rounds passed through the rear window and out the windshield, one of which brushed the woman’s shoulder. She received a small laceration and was able to drive to the 1100 block of Hampton Street to call for help. Walterboro Police Officers and Sheriff’s Deputies arrived quickly to secure the scene. Firefighter-Paramedics arrived a short time later and began treating the woman. She declined ambulance transportation to the hospital. The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.

Medic 1, Battalion 1, Car 112 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott Feather served as Incident Commander.
