28/August/2020 – Structure Fire – “C” Shift

Incident # 20-05916 – A small barn was destroyed in a evening fire in the 200 block of Welles Lane Friday 28-August. At 21:14, a caller to 9-1-1 reported the barn behind the residence was on fire with flames visible from the structure. Engine 26 arrived to the find the single story structure fully involved. The roof had already collapsed. Firefighter-Paramedics deployed one handline to extinguish the remains of the structure. The building and the contents were destroyed. Crews were on the scene for about 2 hours performing overhaul. Water supply was conducted using Tenders. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no one was injured. Two people were reported living inside the barn, but they were not at home when the fire occurred.

Engine 26, Engine 27, Tender 1, Tender 4, Tender 26, Tender 27, Medic 1, Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 112, Car 114 and Car 118 responded. Captain Roger Johnston served as Incident Commander.
