31-July-2021 - Structure Fire - "A" Shift

Incident # 21-05487 - An approx. 20' x 50' garage was heavily damaged in an evening fire Saturday night 31-July in the 900 block of Welles Lane. 9-1-1 received several reports advising the building was well involved and LP tanks inside were exploding. Engine 26 arrived at the home to find the metal garage and it's contents fully involved, with a dual axle camper next to the building that was threatened. Firefighter-Paramedics deployed two hand lines to the building and quickly knocked down the flames. Crews spent about 2-1/2 hours sifting through debris performing overhaul. The building suffered substantial damage and everything inside was heavily damaged or destroyed. The camper received damage to the exterior, but was saved. Water supply was conducted with Tenders. No injuries were reported. 

Engine 1, Engine 26, Tender 1, Tender 18, Tender 26, Tender 27, Medic 1, Medic 18, Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 112 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O'Quinn served as Incident Commander. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
