13/February/2022 - MVC with Ejection and Air Evacuation - "C" Shift

A 43 yr old Lodge woman was critically injured in a high speed single vehicle roll-over accident in the 6600 block of Augusta Hwy. (SC Hwy 61) Sunday evening 13-Feb. The accident was reported at 21:46, when the north bound 2001 Ford Expedition lost control and left the roadway. The car flipped over several times and came to rest upright in the yard. The unrestrained driver was ejected from the car and was found unresponsive approximately fifteen feet from the car. Firefighter-Paramedics began treating the woman, who was in critical condition. They requested a medical helicopter and an additional unit to assist with patient care. Other Fire-Rescue units set up a landing zone at the Circle C Truck Stop and the CARE Flight helicopter responded to the location. Fire-Rescue Medic 7 transported the patient to the truck stop. The patient required advance airway care before being flown to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center. Units were on the scene for over three hours. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. 

Engine 7, Engine 18, Engine 26, Medic 7, Battalion 1, Car 102 and Car 112 responded. Captain Brian Rowe served as Incident Commander. .
