14/February/2022 - Structure Fire - "A" Shift

Incident # 22-01209 - Firefighter-Paramedics saved a Round O home Monday afternoon 14-Feb. At 14:18, 9-1-1 received a report of flames and smoke coming from the residence at 31 Moss Creek Lane. Engine 9 arrived minutes later to find flames extending up the side of the doublewide mobile home. Crews deployed one 1-3/4 handline to the building, quickly knocking down the bulk of the flames.They spent 10 minutes extinguishing fire behind the residence as well. The fire started on the back porch in what appeared to be a flower pot, causing damage to the porch and burning a hole through the wooden porch. The fire ignited grass around the underpinning and burned to the end of the mobile home, then burned around the side. The underpinning was damaged and the vinyl siding on the rear and back melted. Fortunately there was only minor damage under the home and no apparent structural damage. No one was injured. Fire units were on the scene for one hour. 

Engine 9, Engine 19, Tender 5, Tender 9, Tender 19, Tender 36, Medic 9, Medic 19, Battalion 1, Car 112 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Scott Feather served as Incident Commander.
