31-July-2022 - Structure Fire - "C" Shift

Incident # 22-05987 - Firefighters saved a home in the 12700 block of Mount Carmel Road Sunday afternoon 31-July at 13:43. Fire-Rescue was dispatched to the location when the homeowner discovered smoke coming from the roof. Engine 7, stationed in Smoaks,  arrived minutes later to find light smoke coming from the doublewide mobile home. Firefighters deployed multiple handlines to the residence and pulled the ceiling in one room to reach the fire. Crews found electrical wiring in the attic space had burned and spread to nearby roof joists. The fire was contained to the area of origin and all personal belongings were saved. No injuries were reported. Coastal Electric representatives also responded. 

Engine 7, Engine 26, Tender 7, Tender 18, Tender 26, Medic 7, Medic 18, Battalion 1 and Car 105 responded. Battalion Chief Chris Jones served as Incident Commander.
