Incident # 24-01577 - A 24 year old Beaufort County man died in a single vehicle MVC on ACE Basin Parkway (US Hwy 17) at Green Pond Hwy (SC Hwy 303). At 23:02, 9-1-1 was notified of an overturned pickup truck at the location. Engine 6 and Medic 6 arrived to find the Ford Pick Up truck overturned in the ditch at the tree line. The truck suffered heavy damage and appeared to have been at the location for some time. Upon searching the vehicle, Firefighter-Paramedics found one unrestrained occupant who was deceased. The patient suffered multiple traumatic injuries. The Coroner's Office was notified and responded to the scene. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
Engine 6 and Medic 6 responded. Firefighter-EMT Josh Blasko served as Incident Commander.
