18/March/2024 - Shooting Incident - "B" Shift


Incident # 24-02131 - An adult male was critically injured after he was shot in the neck at 500 Rivers Street Monday afternoon 18-March at 16:43. The Sheriff's Office and City Police secured the scene. Firefighter-Paramedics treated the man, then transported him emergent in Fire-Rescue Medic 1 to the helipad at Colleton Medical Center to meet with the CARE Flight helicopter. He was given life saving whole blood, IV fluids and medications, then flown to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. The Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident and apprehend a suspect shortly after the incident occurred. This is the second shooting to occur at this location in the last three days. On Saturday, an adult male was shot in the arm on the Proctor St side of the building. 


Engine 1, Medic 1, Battalion 1, Car 103, Car 107, Car 111 and Car 112 responded. Chief McRoy served as Incident Commander.
