Chemical (Detergent) Suicide Training

This training is being offered to emergency responders across all disciplines (Fire, Police, EMS), Hazardous Materials Technicians, pre-hospital and hospital providers, coroners, and medical examiners.  This information was compiled and developed by the South Carolina Firefighter Mobilization Hazardous Materials Working Group in coordination with the South Carolina Firefighters Association.
Why do you need this training?

    
The videos below are separated by field/discipline.
  • Video 1: Communications Personnel/Dispatchers, Fire, Police, EMS, and any other responders that could arrive first at a chemical suicide incident
  • Video 2: Firefighters and Hazardous Materials Technicians
  • Video 3: Medical Professionals, Pre-Hospital and Hospital Providers, EMS, Nurses, and Physicians
  • Video 4: Coroners and Medical Examiners
  • Of course, you are encouraged to review all of the videos, especially if you work in multiple fields/disciplines.
