On 21-February at 1107, Stations 1, 5, 19 and 26 responded to a single car MVC in the 1000 block of Maple Ridge Road. The vehicle appeared to have the left the roadway in a curve overturning one time. The driver was wearing a seatbelt, however suffered suspected multiple trauma injuries. A telephone pedestal was damaged in the collision. Firefighter-Paramedics treated the 17 year old man at the scene and then transported him to a nearby church yard to meet with the Meducare Helicopter. Meducare flew the man to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston.  

Engine 5, Engine 26, Medic 19, Rescue 1, Battalion 1 and Truck 12 responded. Engineer-EMT Heath Jones served as Incident Commander. Battalion Chief Richard Sheffield handled the Landing Zone.
