CCFR Tactical Response Team personnel held a confined space rescue drill at Fire-Rescue Headquarters on Saturday, August 1.  The drill consisted of entering a simulated permit required confined space and accessing a victim. Once the simulated victim was assessed and stabilized, the victim was packaged in a stokes basket and extricated from the space.  Personnel simulated emergency decontamination procedures and delivered the patient to other awaiting Firefighter/Paramedics.  Another training mannequin was then used to simulate signs and symptoms of acute hydrogen sulfide exposure.

Rescue 1, Engine 1, Haz Mat 19, Medic 102, and Battalion 1 participated in the drill.

Captain Scott Feather, Lieutenant Joey Campbell and Engineer/Paramedic Brian Rowe coordinated the drill activities.  Battalion Chief Richard Sheffield served as the Incident Commander.
