Stations 26 and 27 responded to a shooting incident at the corner of Mallard Lane and Coot Lane 0045, Sunday morning 13-September. It is believed the man was shot at a residence on Pintail Court and ran to this location for assistance. It appeared the man received several gunshot wounds and a broken arm secondary to a GSW to the arm. Law Enforcement closed off the area and began searching for the shooter. Medic 27’s crew treated the man at the scene and called for a medical helicopter to respond. Engine 26 established a Landing Zone in the field across from the subdivision between Heirs Corner Road and I-95. Omniflight-Charleston flew the man to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston.  

Engine 26, Medic 27, Battalion 1 and Truck 11 responded. Chief McRoy served as Incident Commander.
