Stations 2, 6, 9, 12 and 21
responded to a singlewide mobile home fire at 134 Sparks Drive near the
Jacksonboro Community, Thursday afternoon 1-October at 1720. A neighbor
reported seeing smoke and flames coming from the structure. Initial
reports indicated a woman and two children may be inside the burning
building. Engine 2 arrived within 4 minutes to find heavy smoke and
flames coming from one end of the mobile home. Crews used two 1-3/4
handlines to quickly bring the fire under control. A search of the
building found the structure to be unoccupied. The fire which originated
in a bedroom was contained to two rooms which received heavy damage. The
remainder of the home suffered smoke damage. There were no reported
injuries. Fire units were on the scene for 1-1/2 hours. Engine 2, Engine 21, Tender
2, Tender 9, Tender 12, Tender 203, Medic 6, Medic 9 and Battalion
1 responded. Battalion Chief Dan Barb served as Incident Commander. |
