On Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 0910 hours, Stations 19 and 27 responded to an odor investigation at Wachovia Bank on Eddie Chasteen Blvd at the request of Walterboro Public Safety Department.  One employee was complaining of feeling sick and smelling an odor similar to sewer gas.  On Fire-Rescue's arrival, the building was being evacuated.  Fire-Rescue personnel entered and air monitored the entire building.  No signs of toxic or flammable gases were found within the limits of the air monitoring equipment.  Work was being done on a sewer line on the property.

Medic 27, Medic 19, Haz Mat 19, Truck 116, Truck 111 responded.  Walterboro Public Safety Department served as Incident Commander.
