	Station Captain Charles Herndon presented service awards during Station # 1’s Christmas dinner which was held at Grillin and Chillin Thursday 10-December. Firefighter Tim Kinard received a five year service award and Firefighter RJ Riles was selected as Firefighter of the Year for Station # 1. Riles, who was graduating from the Fire Academy The following day, drove back to Walterboro to receive the award. It was a surprise for him and Herndon had to do some coercing to get him to the dinner.
