Stations 1, 19, 26 and 27 responded to a building fire at 228 Red Comet Road Monday evening, 7-June at 2225. The fire occurred in a large garage, game room type building that also contained an apartment. The building was located behind a residence. On arrival firefighters found several civilians throwing buckets of water on the flames which were burning in the interior walls, ceiling and on the roof. Crews stretched one 3 inch line through a vacant lot, then gated it off to deploy one 1-3/4 handline to the rear of the structure. Firefighters pulled down an exterior wall to a restroom and removed the ceiling in two rooms to reach the fire. It appeared the fire started in the restroom, burned up a wall and into the ceiling. The building nor the residence had power. The cause of the fire is under investigation and persons at the building could not provide any information. Units were on the scene for 1-1/2 hours.

Engine 1, Engine 19, Tender 1, Tender 19, Tender 26, Medic 27, Battalion 1 and Car 11 responded. Captain Scott Feather served as Incident Commander.
