“C” Shift – Structure Fire

Alarm # 10-06039 – Stations 2, 9, 11, 19 and 27 responded to a structure fire at 1102 Mistletoe Lane in the Town of Cottageville Friday evening at midnight 5-November. Engine 9 and Medic 9 arrived within minutes, to find fire under the doublewide mobile home on the “C” side of the structure. The caller to 9-1-1 reported fire coming through the floor in his bathroom. Crews deployed an 1-3/4 handline and quickly brought the fire under control. The fire which appeared to have originated in electrical wiring under the trailer burned approximately 500 square feet under the mobile home and extended into one wall. Firefighters used thermal imaging cameras to locate several hot spots. They remained on the scene for 1-1/2 hours performing overhaul and removing smoke from the structure.

Engine 9, Engine 11, Tender 2, Tender 9, Tender 19, Tender 27, Medic 9 and Battalion 1 responded. Battalion Chief Dan Barb served as Incident Commander.
