12/31/10 – “C” Shift – Shooting Incident

Incident # 10-07038 - Station # 18 responded to a shooting incident on Dozier Drive near the intersection of Cross Swamp Road (near Stephens Crossroads) at 2043 Friday 30-December. Firefighter-Paramedics found the 39 year old Hispanic  male in the parking lot of N and W Grocery on Bells Highway. The store is about 50 yards from the mobile home where the incident occurred. The man was treated at the scene for a single gunshot wound to the right lower chest and then transported to Colleton Medical Center. He transferred by ambulance about 50 minutes later to the Trauma Center at the Medical University in Charleston. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case.
