County Fire-Rescue is hosting a SCFA 1154 Firefighter II course. Dates:
June 20th-July 9th Times:
1800-2200 Mon/Wed
0900-1700 Saturday Location:
Station 19 If
you or someone you know has the prerequisites and is in need of obtaining
their IFSAC Firefighter II certification, please fill out a SCFA
registration form and fax it to Station 19. Registration
deadline is May 20th, 2011. Below is the course description and
prerequisites required for registration. 1154
NFPA FIREFIGHTER II This
course is designed to take the student to the final level of firefighter as
recognized by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the
International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC). Subjects include:
incident management, building collapse and special rescue, hose tools and
appliances, hydrant flow and operability, fire detection and alarm systems,
fire cause, pre-incident planning, reports and communications and
coordinating fire attack. Upon successful completion of written and skills
testing, the firefighter will receive international recognition as a
Firefighter II by IFSAC. Prerequisite:
