Colleton County Fire-Rescue

8/3/2011

Two Colleton County Firefighters completed the Paramedic Program at Rescue Training in Savannah, GA, Wednesday 3-August. The ceremony was held at the Rescue Training facility on Mall Terrace in Savannah. Nineteen students completed the course and received certificates. They will test for their National Registry in two weeks, which is the final step before receiving their Paramedic Certification. This was an accelerated program, with the students completing seven months of didactic and clinical training. Career Colleton Firefighter-EMT-I Dominic Socie received two awards at the ceremony. The first award was for excellence and the second was presented due to Socie having the highest class average. It was pointed out that he scored higher than any student who has been through their program. Volunteer Firefighter Jeremy Hunt, who is employed full-time with the City of Hannahan Fire Department, also complete the course.  Both graduates worked very hard to achieve this goal. We wish them the best in their new roles.
