02/12/2012 – Two Structure Fires – “C” Shift       

Incident # 12-00824 – Two vacant singlewide mobile homes were destroyed in the 2000 block of Heirs Corner Road Sunday evening 12-February. The fire was reported at 20:07. Both trailers were located next to one another on a lot near Interstate 95, generating multiple reports from travelers on the highway. Engine 26 arrived to find one mobile home already on the ground and the second about 50% involved. A pile of debris and approximately ¾ of an acre of grass was also on fire. Firefighters deployed two 1-3/4 handlines, quickly bringing the fire under control. Neither structure had power connected. Fire units were on the scene for 1-1/2 hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Engine 19, Engine 26, Tender 1, Tender 19, Tender 26, Tender 27, Medic 19, Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 12 and Car 118 responded. Captain Scott Feather served as Incident Commander.
