24-March-2012 – Softball Tournament  

A Public Safety Softball Tournament was held in Colleton County, Saturday 24-March at the Recreation Complex. Six teams competed in the day-long event to raise money for the Carolina Children’s Charity and Burn Children’s Foundation. The event raised $1200 which was divided between to the charities. Hampton County Firefighters walked away winning the Tournament, with James Island Fire Department coming in second. Participants braved the elements as thunderstorms passed through the area several times during the day.

Burton Fire District, Lady’s Island, City of Walterboro and Colleton County Fire-Rescue also participated in the event.
