03/31/2012 – Jacksonboro Parade

Engine 2, Engine 12, Brush 2 and Medic 6 participated in the Jacksonboro Spring Festival Parade Saturday morning 31-March. The parade started at Hope Plantation Lane and Drew Lane,  ending almost one mile away at the Jacksonboro Community Center. A festival was held at the center following the parade. Engine 2 and Brush 2 remained for the festival displaying the apparatus for the children, discussing fire prevention and handing out plastic fire helmets. Fire-Rescue units earned the 2nd place trophy for the best parade attraction. The festival, which was sponsored by the local churches, was attended by a couple hundred people.
