06/15/2013 – Structure Fire – “B” Shift

Incident # 12-03151 – An early morning fire destroyed a doublewide mobile home at 119 Camp Buddy Road, Friday 15-June at 02:17. 9-1-1 callers reported flames were visible throughout the building. Engine 9 and Medic 9 arrived 8 minutes later to find the structure fully involved, with the roof burned away and most of the walls and floor already collapsed. Engine 9 deployed two 1-3/4 handlines to extinguish the remaining fire. The home, which had been burning for quite some time, was completely destroyed leaving mostly the frame rails and one wall. Units were on the scene for several hours, conducting water supply with Tenders. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Engine 9, Engine 11, Tender 2, Tender 9, Tender 903, Tender 19, Medic 9 and Battalion 1 responded. Battalion Chief Ben Heape served as Incident Commander.
