07/06/2012 – Motorcycle MVC with Air Evacuation – “A” Shift

Incident # 12-03658 – An adult male suffered multiple traumatic injuries after crashing a motorcycle on a private dirt track. The incident occurred at 3236 Wesley Grove Road at 17:42. The man received several dislocations and fractures in addition to other injuries. He was treated at the scene by Firefighter-Paramedics, who requested a medical helicopter respond. LifeNet4 landed in the front yard of a residence near the scene. The patient was immobilized in a position of comfort, given pain medications, then transferred to the helicopter. He was flown to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston.

Engine 9, Medic 9, Battalion 1, Car 107 and Car 110 responded. Lt. Jimmy Jacques served as Incident Commander.
