The patient was transported there to meet with the Meducare Helicopter from MUSC. Paramedics continued to treat the patient at the scene until the helicopter arrived. She was flown to the Trauma Center at MUSC were she passed away several hours later. The Dorchester County Coroner’s Office and the SC Highway Patrol are investigating the crash.
