04/November/2012 – Mutual Aid Structure Fire – “B” Shift

Incident # 12-06051 – Walterboro Public Safety crews requested mutual aid with a single family dwelling fire at 101 Overhill Road, Sunday evening 04-November at 18:13. The home was well involved when Walterboro units arrived. They deployed several handlines to quickly bring the fire under control. Due to water supply problems, they requested a Tender to supply a pumper with water. The home suffered heavy damage. Units were on the scene for several hours. This was the second time in one and half years that firefighters have extinguished this home.

Tender 1, Medic 1 and Battalion 1 responded. Battalion Chief Ben Heape coordinated County Fire-Rescue units. Walterboro Engine 2, Engine 3 and Ladder 1 responded.
